While congratulating winners during the three-day event sponsored by Senate Chief Whip Hon David Wakoli, the Speaker noted that if youths are given the right platform and support they can use their talents to create jobs, earn a living and promote peaceful co-existence in the society.
He added that participants in the talent expo have send a message that the raw talents wasted at the grassroots level should be identified and natured for the benefit of youth and committed to support the venture going forward.
Senator Wakoli noted that the event was designed to turn the raw talent into sustainable income-generating venture for jobless youths. He added that the move was to supplement government’s efforts to turn the talent among youths into a resourceful activity.
He challenged the county government to allocate more money to promote talent among youths.
