At Lentolia Wildlife Sanctuary, a male eland was found with a winch wire snare tightly constricting his neck. The KWS Rift Valley Mobile Veterinary Unit responded swiftly, safely removing the snare, treating his injuries, and giving him the best chance of a full recovery. His prognosis is good.
